A: Do you have a reservation, sir?
请问您订位了吗?先生，太太?
B: No, I am afraid we don’t.
没有。
A: I’m sorry. The restaurant is full now. You have to wait for about half an hour. Would you care to have a drink at the lounge until a table is available?
很抱歉，餐厅已经满座了。约要等30分钟才会有空桌。你们介意在休息室喝点东西直至有空桌吗?
B: No，thanks. We’ll come back later. May I reserve a table for two?
不需要了，谢谢。我们等一会儿再来。请替我们预定一张二人桌，能行吗?
A: Yes, of course. May I have your name, sir?

B: Bruce. By the way. Can we have a table by the window?

Let’s order food from a restaurant.
大家从饭店订餐吧。
order 动词 “订购;订货;点菜” order sth.from…从……订购某物
I order some books from that bookstore.
我从那个书店订购了一部分书。
They have ordered 1,000 oil pumps from our factory.
他们已向我厂订购1,000台油泵。
还有“命令;嘱咐”
Order him to act at once.命令他马上行动。
The doctor ordered him to stay there.
医生嘱咐他留在那里。(不定式短语to stay there作宾语补语)
是啊！再者也可按照前后句，例如：order to do sth.就是命令做某事 还有其他一部分短语：in order 按顺序 in order to（that）为了…，以…为目标 keep order维持规则和程序 to order根据吩咐 等
